Get Ready, TYPO3 4.6 Releases Soon

by Michael Cannon in TYPO3 · 0 comments

In case you haven’t heard about it yet, the first release candidate of TYPO3 4.6 is out. Final will be out on October 25th, 2011.

I’m running TYPO3 4.6RC1 locally and I think the upgrade is very worthwhile. There’s noticeable improvement over TYPO3 4.5 in regards to performance and responsiveness. In many ways, it’s reminding of the jump from TYPO3 3.5 to TYPO3 3.8.

Xavier Perseguers has shared T3CON11 Frankfurt TYPO3 4.6 Overview presentation. I’ve also embedded it below. There are lots of slides, but you can go full screen and flick through them quickly. It’s worthwhile.

Check out the TYPO3 4.6RC1 packages and further release details.
